Ochre Sea Star wasting

Many of you know that our sea stars (also known as starfish) have been disappearing from the Pacific Coast. They are calling this a wasting disease. You can see that these look like they are melting. At the moment, adult sea stars are rarely seen but we've gotten reports of thousands of baby sea stars so we are hoping they come back. The reason for their disease is probably either a virus or a bacteria. We know the ocean is changing now.
